FAQ

  1. What do I do if the water turns dirty and the heads start dropping? Did you forget to remove the leaves from the bottom of the stems (inside the water). The leaves must always be removed along the portion of the stem that is within the water. Too much water in the vase can also cause the same effect.

  2. The roses aren’t lasting long enough. What do I do? We advice to follow all steps under the Flower Care section. (Click here to go to the Rose Care page)

  3. My roses heads are drooping after only two or three days. Why? You probably aren’t trimming the stems every other day, or the water has been completely consumed by your roses. Please follow our recommendations for Rose Care (Click here to go to the Rose Care page)

  4. If the heads drop, do I throw them away? Don't do it. Macarena Farms roses can be revived in most cases. Try the following:

  • Use warm water (not too hot)

  • Add a spoon of sugar and a few drops of lime/lemon juice to the water.

  • Put and mix into the vase until the level is up to 4 or 5 cm. (1 ½ - 2 in.) high. You may also use warm water with a spoon of sugar and a tablespoon of bleach (5% solution)

  • Put your roses in the vase.

  • When the water is cold, trim the stems again by 4 to 6 cm. (1 ½ - 2 ½ in.).

  • Dispose the solution.

  • Put 7 to 10 cm. (3 to 4 in.) of clean water with flower food, and wait for a few minutes. You will like what you see.
